During this project the old grass was removed along with 8 inches of hard compacted soil. The irrigation system was re-designed to improve efficiency. Screened topsoil was placed and hand graded. The final step was to lay new sod.
This hill side was improved by creating a dry creek bed. The existing site was cleared and graded. Weed mat was placed and new trees, plants and shrubs were installed along with a drip system. Large boulders were set in place to create the creek bed. A new layer of bark mulch was layed. The new landscape really improved the curb appeal to this home.
At this new home a 6 foot tall cedar fence was built to provide a little privacy. The small lawn was graded and hand seeded, then covered with redwood compost to provide a low cost solution.
This new entry way got a new black slate patio. The joints were filled with black volcano rock then compacted. The lawn recieved a new irrigation system along with 4 inches of topsoil and was hand raked. A fire pit was built in the middle of the lawn surrounded by black slate. New sod was layed and the sprinkler system got to work immediatly due to the 102 degree tempature.
