I started my Landscaping career when I was just 18 years old. I worked for local companies for several years until I obtained my own C-27 Contractors License. Now with 24 years of experience in the construction industry Hooven Landscaping has become a reality. So if your looking for a small project or a huge commercial project, we are the team that can handle the task.

Hooven Landscaping offers free estimates and undertakes projects throughout Humboldt and Del Norte Counties, from Garberville to Crescent City and everywhere in between. We’re also happy to travel east to Willow Creek and Trinity Village.

Where We Come From

Hooven Landscaping was founded in 1998 in McKinleyville, CA, where I initially took on small jobs while working full-time at a local sawmill. In 2000, I joined a local landscaping company, gaining valuable experience in the business side of the construction industry. This experience in estimating, project management, and building relationships with employees and customers equipped me to relaunch Hooven Landscaping as a full-service landscaping and construction company dedicated to serving our local community.

My Favorite Tree

In nearly every landscape I design, I make it a point to include a Japanese Maple tree. Why? I believe they are one of the most charming and versatile trees out there. They thrive beautifully on the North Coast and offer a wide range of varieties to choose from.
